Banana plant sprouts 100 flowers

Curious crowds are rushing to see a banana plant which has grown 100 banana flowers instead of one as normal at a farmer’s garden in the southern province of Long An, around 20km away from Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Tran Quoc Cuong, the farmer living in Hung Dien B Ward, Tan Hung District, the fruit is a pip banana (a kind of banana) originating from Dong Thap southern province.
He said the previous banana trees of the same kind grow and blossom as normal, adding the “strange” banana plant was grafted from another plant some months ago.
