Definitely not a tooth fairy

A dentist was pulling a patient’s tooth out when he left the job half-done and the patient mute in pain as it was time for him to have lunch. Anyway, a patient must always be patient.

The hapless man is Nguyen Van Cuong in Vinh Cong commune, Chau Thanh district, in the southern province of Long An.

On the morning of April 26, Cuong visited Long An General Hospital and was told by a dentist that his tooth needed to be pulled out.

At 11.30am, the dentist could only take out the upper part of his tooth, leaving the stump broken.

Then he suddenly announced that working hours were over and told Cuong to wait on the fifth floor until the dentist resumed working later in the afternoon.

Cuong had some work to do and told the dentist he would come on another day.
On the morning of April 28, Cuong returned but could not meet the previous dentist as he was not there.

“In the past two days, I was in pain. My jaw hurt, bled and I could not sleep. I plan to go to Ho Chi Minh City to have it pulled out since I cannot stand it,” said Cuong.

Director of the Long An General Hospital Vo Cong Luan said he has asked for more details from the Department of Odontostomatology and has told Cuong to come back to have his tooth fixed.

“We will learn from this experience,” said Luan.
