Election campaign in HCM City starts on May 3

827 candidates for the 13th National Assembly election and nearly 6,000 for the People’s Council election at all level for the 2011-2016 term in Ho Chi Minh City will start campaigning as from May 3.
Their biographies will be introduced at the meetings, organized by local chapters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, to help voters make the right decision.
Candidates also have the chance to present their action plans and answer voters' questions about their concerned issues.
During the campaign that will last until May 18, each NA candidate will attend 10 meetings while each candidate for the People’s Council election will meet with voters five times.
They will also be allowed to campaign through the internet, blogs, and press interviews until May 20.
