Food poisoning alarms Quang Tri, Bac Lieu

One person died after eating infected pork in the northern province of Quang Tri while dozens of others were hospitalized after eating food at a wedding in the southern city of Bac Lieu over the weekend.
On Sunday, Quang Tri Province General Hospital received two patients who were poisoned severely after eating infected pork.
One of them died later and the other is still in a critical condition.
Both patients come from Trieu Long Commune in Trieu Phong District.
On April 29, the two ate pork from a pig that had died from a disease, according to the patients’ relatives.
Three days later on May 1, they developed typical symptoms of food poisoning.
And one day earlier, dozens of people were rushed to Bac Lieu City General Hospital for emergency care.
The patients suffered from dizziness, stomachache, vomiting and diarrhea after attending a wedding party in Nha Mat Ward.
The patients said they might be poisoned after eating miscellaneous fried rice at the wedding.
The patients said other guests of the party who didn’t eat the rice dishes didn’t show any symptom.
