Italian firework most dazzling at festival

Displaying an exquisite mix of firework and music, the Italian team won the top prize of this year’s Danang International Firework Competition.
At the two-day festival which ended yesterday, the Italian firework show, which was accompanied by musical pieces such as “Il proprio fine” and “Hopipolla,” was better received than even an equally impressive performance of last year’s champion from China.
China shared the second prize with the Republic of Korea. The host, Vietnam and the UK were awarded the third prize.
Initiating the festival 4 years ago, Danang has made it an annual event.
France took the crown in 2010, when American, Portugal, Japan and Vietnam were other contestants.
